Richard “Dick” J. Grandowicz, Sr., 82 of Petersburg, MI, passed away, Thursday, October 25, 2018. Born January 6, 1936, in Temperance, MI, he was the son of Louis and Helen (Wieczorek) Grandowicz. Dick married Wilma L. Hoover on May 11, 1957. He was employed by the Ford Motor Company Stamping Plant in Maumee, OH for 26 years, retiring in 1997. Prior, he worked for Teledyne, CAE, Schmidts Precision and was owner of the former Shell Gas Station on Lambertville, MI. Dick loved the outdoors, traveling, motorsports, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and casino trips.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Wilma; children, Linda (Jim) Emptage and Rick Grandowicz, Jr.; sister, Cecilia Henning; grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel and Lauren Emptage; great grandchildren, Sophia and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Grandowicz; brother, John Grandowicz and sister, Theresa Kowalinski.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, Michigan.
